Hyderabad: Actor Jr NTR was discharged from a hospital on Thursday after undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery for a shoulder injury sustained while shooting for his upcoming film Dragon.
According to a health bulletin issued by KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, the actor underwent the procedure on Wednesday under the supervision of orthopaedic surgeons R. A. Purnachandra Tejswi and Nithin Bejjanki.
The hospital said Jr NTR is doing well and will now begin a structured rehabilitation programme under medical supervision. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery within two to three months.
Jr NTR Thanks Fans for Prayers and Support
Following his discharge, Jr NTR expressed gratitude to his fans, friends and family for their support and prayers during his treatment.
“The surgery was successful, and I’m doing well,” the actor said in a post on X, thanking the medical team at KIMS and his well-wishers.
The actor had suffered the shoulder injury on July 27 while filming Dragon. His team had subsequently advised him to take complete rest for six to eight weeks.
Dragon Shooting Schedule Postponed
Following Jr NTR’s injury, the Dragon team postponed its scheduled shooting programme in Sri Lanka.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film stars Jr NTR and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles, with Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon and Ashutosh Rana in key roles.
Despite the shooting delay, the makers remain confident of releasing the film on June 11, 2027, as announced earlier.
