Punjab’s Jujhar Singh Becomes First Sikh Power Slap Champion in Abu Dhabi

Ropar: Jujhar Singh of Chamkaur Sahib in the Ropar district of Punjab has become the first Sikh champion of the Power Spell competition held in Abu Dhabi. He defeated his competitor, Antoni Glushka, with a slap shot on October 24th.

Jujhar Singh shared a video of this competition, held in Abu Dhabi, on his Facebook page. In it, Jujhar Singh is seen dancing. After winning, he says, “I am the winner.”

Jujhar shook his Russian competitor with a single slap. In the competition held in Dubai on 24 October, he shook his Russian competitor with a single slap in the third round. Before this, there was a toss between Jujhar and Glushka. Glushka won the toss and slapped Jujhar first. In this, Jujhar moved back a step. After this, Jujhar slapped Glushka, but Glushka did not move. In the first round, Jujhar got 9 points and Glushka got 10 points.

In the second round, Glushka’s slap injured Jujhar’s eye, and Glushka’s slap was counted as a foul. In the third round, Glushka slapped Jujhar, but Jujhar didn’t move. This earned him 10 points. In the third round, Jujhar’s final slap shook Glushka badly. This gave Jujhar a total of 29 points and Glushka 27 points.

In the second round, Jujhar was hit in the eye by Glushka’s slap. Jujhar’s coach applied ointment to his eye with a handkerchief. The coach said, “It’s okay, you’re a Punjabi.” Jujhar , twirling his moustache, said in Punjabi, “Dasda main tainu (I won’t spare you, I’ll tell you right now).”

As soon as Jujhar’s victory was announced and the referee raised his hand, Jujhar began performing Bhangra steps on stage. Jujhar once again raised his mustache and said, “The Punjabis have arrived!” Sidhu then slapped his back in Moosewala style .
