Jyoti Malhotra presented before court through VC, Next hearing on Aug 25

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, appeared on Monday. Jyoti was produced through video conferencing instead of being produced in court. Jyoti Malhotra’s lawyer, Advocate Kumar Mukes,h said that till now Jyoti Malhotra has not been handed over a copy of the charge sheet. It was expected that Jyoti would be called to the court on Monday and handed over a copy of the charge sheet. Now the next hearing in the case will be on August 25. On this day, Jyoti will be physically produced in the court.

Reply will be filed based on the Charge sheet

Advocate Kumar Mukesh said that if Jyoti gives a copy of the charge sheet, then we will file a reply to it. He said that on Thursday, August 14, the 90th day of Jyoti’s arrest, the SIT had filed a charge sheet. The police SIT had filed a charge sheet on August 14 after completing the investigation. At present, this case is going on in the JMIC court.

Advocate Kumar Mukesh said that after reading all the charges, we will present our reply claim. After this, we will file a bail petition. In the charge sheet, the data recovered from Jyoti Malhotra’s mobile and laptop, call records and her visit to Pakistan have been made the main basis.

Jyoti in contact with the Pak Agency 

It has been said in the charge sheet that Jyoti was spying for Pakistan for a long time. She was in contact with the Pakistani agency. She used to answer the questions asked by Pakistani agents. She used to have long conversations with Pakistani spies. On searching Jyoti’s mobile, a record of a long conversation with Ehsan-ur-Rahim Danish Ali posted in the Pakistan High Commission was found.

Apart from this, Jyoti used to talk to Shakir, Hasan Ali, and Nasir Dhillon. Jyoti Malhotra’s lawyer, Kumar Mukesh, said that he has not received the copy of the charge sheet yet. After receiving the copy of the charge sheet, he will read it and answer every question.
