Kabaddi Player Rana Balachauria Murder: AGTF arrest shooter Aditya from Tripura

In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in a well-coordinated operation with central agencies and Tripura Police, apprehends Aditya alias Makhan. Aditya is one of the shooters in the sensational murder of Kabaddi promoter Rana Balachauria in Village Sohana, Sector-79, SAS Nagar on 15.12.2025. The shooter has been arrested in Agartala, Tripura.

The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

Acting on the directions of foreign-based handlers, the accused, along with his associates, executed the planned killing. While his accomplices were apprehended earlier by AGTF from Kolkata, the accused had been absconding and evading arrest until now.

DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against organized crime and remains committed to ensuring a safe and secure Punjab. Punjab Police will go after the accused persons sitting abroad or in any part of India to ensure that they face the law for their actions.
