Renowned Kabaddi Player Tejpal Singh Shot Dead Near SSP Office in Jagraon

Jagraon: A kabaddi player was shot by miscreants a short distance from the SSP office in Jagraon, Ludhiana. The young man died from the gunshot wound. The bullet struck the player in the chest and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The young man has been identified as 23-year-old Tejpal Singh. He was a resident of Gidderwindi and a kabaddi player. The incident occurred on Hari Singh Road in Jagraon, just a short distance from the SSP office. According to reports, the criminals arrived in a car and shot Tejpal in public. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team from the City Police Station, including the DSP, arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

The matter is being told of mutual enmity

According to police sources, the incident is believed to be a personal rivalry. The attackers are believed to be residents of Rumi village, near Jagraon. Police are examining CCTV footage from the scene of the incident to identify the attackers.

According to the information received so far, the accused first stopped the deceased’s car by hitting it, then got down from the car and committed the crime.
