Horror in Jail: Daughter’s Killer Father Dies by Suicide

A father who strangled his 11-year-old daughter to death in Kaithal district committed suicide in jail. He locked himself in the bathroom of the jail at around one o’clock in the night. When everyone was sleeping at night, he committed suicide so that no one would know. The shawl was given to him to cover him in prison, made a noose of his hanging, and hanged himself on the window in the bathroom wall.

In the morning, as the jail staff went to handle him, he found that he was not in jail. When the staff found him in the bathroom, he did not open the door. When the staff opened the door, they found that he was hanging on the noose.

 FSL team collected evidence

The jail staff immediately informed the police and higher officials. On receiving the information, the police team and FSL team reached the spot and started investigating. The matter is currently being investigated by the police.

Eight days ago, Govardhan, a resident of Jaipur Gadli village in Jind, left home with his daughter at around 3 pm on March 31. He told his daughter that he had to go to her grandmother’s house in Siwan village of Kaithal. While coming from there, they will also buy inverters-batteries from the shop.

Planned to kidnap daughter

While going to Kaithal on a bike, Govardhan took his daughter to the village of Payoda in Kaithal. He strangled his daughter to death near a canal in the village. After this, he planned to kidnap the daughter. I called dial 112 and said that someone from Payoda village kidnapped my daughter.

Police became suspicious of Govardhan’s statements

The accused told the police that criminals in a black Scorpio came and kidnapped his daughter. They assaulted me and took money from my pocket before fleeing. After this, the police reached the village at the scene. The area around the crime scene was inspected. During the investigation, the police became suspicious of Govardhan’s statements.

Confessed to the murder during interrogation

Titarm police began searching at the location called by Govardhan. When the police went to the canal, they found the girl’s body in pits, with marks on her neck. After this, when the police questioned Govardhan strictly, it was revealed that he had himself killed his daughter. The police are investigating the matter.
