Kanchanpreet Kaur Announced as SAD Candidate for Tarn Taran Zila Parishad Polls

Tarn Taran: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Principal Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa’s daughter Kanchanpreet Kaur was released on court orders at 4 am on Sunday. The Tarn Taran police have claimed that she was held as part of efforts to bust the criminal network run by her “Canada-based gangster husband, Amritpal Bath”.

Soon after her release, the Shiromani Akali Dal announced that she will be the party’s candidate from zone Kasel in the upcoming Zila Parishad elections.

Kanchanpreet expresses gratitude

After her release, Kanchanpreet Kaur thanked the Akali leadership and said that she will always be indebted to the party for the respect and support it has given her during difficult times.

Former CPS Virsa Singh Valtoha said on the occasion that Kanchanpreet Kaur has always raised her voice against the “oppression” committed by the Punjab government. She also fought a strong fight against this “oppression” in the Tarn Taran by-election.

Valtoha said that the entire Akali Dal team was unanimous in nominating Kanchanpreet as a candidate, as she not only supported the party in difficult times but also handled the election campaign of her mother Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa.

Immediately after her release, she paid obeisance at the Golden Temple

After her release at 4 am on Sunday, Kanchanpreet Kaur went straight to Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar. She thanked Guru Sahib and said that he gives her strength.

During this, she participated in Gurbani Kirtan and prayed for the welfare of all.
