Mumbai: Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has responded to the ongoing social media debate over Kriti Sanon’s Rakshabandhan-themed jewelry ad. The ad features Kriti celebrating Rakshabandhan in an off-white bralette-style blouse, cape, and draped skirt.
After the ad surfaced, some social media users objected to Kriti’s attire, calling it against the spirit of the Indian festival.

Kangana raises questions
Kangana commented on the ad in her Instagram story without naming Kriti. She questioned why women today have so many options for clothing, from traditional to modern, so why was such clothing chosen for a festival like Rakshabandhan.
Kangana called the ad “deliberately awkward and uncomfortable” and also questioned the styling.
Controversy also arose over tying a Rakhi to a dog
In the advertisement, Kriti is seen tying a Rakhi to a dog. It was reported that after the dog barked, Kriti went to the dog and tied it. This part also received mixed reactions on social media.
Kriti Sanon has not yet responded to the controversy surrounding the advertisement or Kangana’s comments.
Kriti seen with sister Nupur and Kabir
Amidst the controversy, Kriti shared some photos with her sister Nupur Sanon and alleged partner Kabir Bahiya on social media. She also wrote a short caption about their memories along with the photos.
