Kangra School Murder: Mid-Day Meal Worker Stabbed to Death; Suspect on Run

Dehra: A horrific incident occurred Thursday afternoon at the Government Primary School in Chanaur, Gram Panchayat, Dehra, Kangra district. 58-year-old Sulochana Devi, who was preparing the mid-day meal at the school, was stabbed to death by an unknown assailant with a sickle. The incident has sent shockwaves through the area.

Children’s Screams Reveal the Brutal Attack

According to Sarita Devi, the school’s center head teacher, she came out after hearing the children’s screams and saw an unknown man attacking Sulochana Devi with a sickle. The teachers immediately locked the children in their rooms and tried to stop the attacker, but he attacked them as well. Hearing the screams and information, teachers from the nearby Senior Secondary School, Chanaur, also arrived at the scene and tried to scare the accused away by throwing stones at him, after which he fled.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Dadasiba police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to Dadasiba Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
