Kapurthala: Drug menace kills two youths in village Raipur Araian

Drugs have wreaked havoc in two houses in Raipur Arayan village of Dhilwan police station in Kapurthala, where two youths died due to an overdose of Chitta on the same day. Giving information in this regard, Darshan Singh said that Balbir Singh Billa (35), son of Satpal Singh, was addicted to drugs, and his parents and brother had already died.

He added that his sister is married, and he lived alone in the house. When Billa did not open the door of his house in the morning, his friend climbed the wall and looked inside, and saw a body lying in the kitchen. Syringes and some pudis were also lying near the body, raising concerns of death due to overdose.

Another Youth died of a drug overdose 

After this tragic incident, another youth died a few hours later. Giving information, the village headman said that a call had come that a youth was unconscious after being injected on the Tibi Pir side of the village. His family was informed when the said youth was taken to Subhanpur Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

After this incident, there is a huge protest among the villagers. People expressed their displeasure with the government and the police administration, saying that the sale of Chitta is going on unabated in the area, which is ruining the young generation.
