Kapurthala, July 31: One person died in a road accident near Dhilwan bus stand on GT Road in Kapurthala, Punjab on Wednesday evening. Two others were injured. The accident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on. A woman was also injured in this accident.
Road Safety Force Dhilwan in-charge ASI Kuldeep Singh said that the accident happened around 5 pm. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and the injured were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Malkit Singh, son of Harbans Singh, resident of Dhaliwal Bet. The injured include the deceased’s wife Balwinder Kaur and Joginder Singh, resident of Batala. ASI Kuldeep Singh said that the matter has been reported to the Dhilwan police station and further action is being taken.
