Karan Veer Mehra: Winning ‘Bigg Boss 18’ was about rediscovering my strength, voice

Mumbai: Actor Karan Veer Mehra, currently in Vietnam for the final shooting schedule of “Silaa”, described his Bigg Boss 18 victory as a journey of rediscovering his strength and voice. Reflecting on the past year, he said, “Winning Bigg Boss 18 wasn’t just about a title; it was about rediscovering my strength and voice… It feels like a full circle moment as I head to Vietnam to complete Silaa.”

Lessons from a year of growth

Looking back at his year after Bigg Boss 18, Karan spoke about the lessons he learned, including patience, gratitude, and self-belief. He noted that the year was filled with “silent struggles and small victories,” shaping him into the person he is today.

Upcoming project ‘Silaa’

In Silaa, Karan plays Zehraak and shares screen space with Sadia Khateeb and Harshavardhan Rane. The film is an intense action-romance with layered characters, presented by Zee Studios and produced under the banners of Blue Lotus Pictures, Stark Entertainment, and Innovations India. The project is co-produced by Rahhat Shah Kazmi.

Career highlights

Karan began his acting career with the youth-based show Remix in 2005 and appeared in Saath Rahega Always the same year. He later played key roles in Virrudh, Pari Hoon Main, and made his Bollywood debut with Drona. He gained widespread recognition as Naren Karmarkar in the popular serial Pavitra Rishta. In 2024, he also participated in and won Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
