LPG Tanker Explodes After Crashing into Toll Plaza in Kaushambi, Driver Killed

At around 6 am on Friday morning in Kaushambi, UP, an LPG tanker went out of control and collided with the toll plaza. After the collision, there was a loud explosion and the tanker caught fire. The tanker driver died in the accident. His body was completely burnt and only part of the skeleton could be recovered. At the same time, five toll employees were also burnt.

The fire brigade team, which reached the information, controlled the fire after about 30 minutes, but by then the tanker was completely burnt. As many as 16 bikes and two cars parked in the yard of the toll plaza were also gutted in the fire. After the fire was extinguished, when the team reached inside the tanker, the bones of the driver were found. Earlier, it was reported that the driver managed to save his life by jumping out of the tanker.

After the accident, there was chaos and screaming on the spot. Long queues of buses and cars were formed on both sides of the toll plaza as the flames were engulfed in flames. Plumes of smoke and flames were visible from about 2 kilometers away. The accident took place at Sihori toll plaza in Kokhraj police station area, about 16 km from the district headquarters.

More than 16 bikes and 2 cars parked in the yard were burnt to ashes. Toll workers park their vehicles in the yard.
