Ketamine Queen’ Sentenced to 15 Years in Matthew Perry Case

Los Angeles: Jasveen Sangha, also known as the ‘Ketamine Queen’, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to the death of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry.

Court pronounces sentence, also imposes 3 years’ probation

According to Deadline, Sangha appeared in federal court on Wednesday (local time), where District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett sentenced her to 180 months (15 years) in prison, plus three years’ probation after release.

Apologized before sentencing

Hours before sentencing, Sangha apologized, saying, “There is no excuse for my actions. I am deeply ashamed of the pain I have caused, especially to Matthew’s family. Their loss is irreparable.”

She took responsibility for her actions, saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions and my role in this tragedy. Running a drug business and continuing down that path was reckless, dangerous, and wrong.”

Five accused in the case plead guilty

Jasveen Sangha is the fifth and final accused to plead guilty in the case.

Matthew Perry, best known for the TV show Friends, was found dead in his home in October 2023.

Dr. Salvador Plasencia also entered into a plea deal last June, admitting that he administered ketamine to the actor without a legitimate medical purpose, leading to his overdose death.

In exchange, the prosecution dropped charges of falsifying medical records and other charges.

The other three accused, Erik Fleming, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Mark Chavez, also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply ketamine.
