Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Siya Goyal Makes Obscene Gesture at Media During Police Escort

Pune: A fresh controversy has emerged in the Ketan Agarwal murder case after prime accused Siya Goyal allegedly made an obscene gesture towards media personnel while being escorted by Pune Rural Police during the ongoing investigation.

The incident took place when police took the 20-year-old accused to her residence in Pune’s Lulla Nagar as part of the probe. As she was leaving the premises under police escort, Goyal allegedly flashed her middle finger at journalists waiting outside. She had covered her face with a printed scarf and was wearing a black T-shirt. The incident was captured on camera and the video has since gone viral on social media.

Police Revisit Alleged Rehearsal Spot

Earlier, investigators took Siya Goyal to a location near Lulla Nagar where, according to police, she and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary had allegedly rehearsed pushing her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, off a cliff before the murder.

Police said the alleged rehearsal took place in May at a hillock-like area near a club. During the visit, Goyal allegedly identified the location as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities are now trying to establish the exact timeline and gather additional evidence.

Polygraph Test Sought, Clothes Recovered

Pune Rural Police have approached the Vadgaon Maval court seeking permission to conduct polygraph tests on Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. The court will first issue notices to the accused and record their consent before deciding on the request.

Investigators have also recovered the clothes allegedly worn by Goyal on June 18, the day Ketan Agarwal died. Police said they have collected substantial technical and digital evidence, which is currently being analysed as part of the investigation.

What Is the Ketan Agarwal Murder Case?

According to police, Siya Goyal (20) and Chetan Chaudhary (22) are accused of pushing 25-year-old realtor Ketan Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18.

Ketan and Siya were engaged and were scheduled to marry in November this year. Investigators allege the accused killed Ketan because he had become an obstacle to their relationship. Both accused are in police custody, and multiple crime scene reconstruction exercises have been conducted to establish the sequence of events.

Police also said Ketan’s father had earlier raised concerns about Siya Goyal’s closeness to Chetan Chaudhary and claimed his son had expressed discomfort over their relationship before his death.
