Ketan Agarwal Murder: Victim’s Father Writes to President Murmu, Seeks Fast-Track Probe and Swift Justice

Pune: The father of Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly murdered near Pune last month, has written to President Droupadi Murmu seeking a fast-tracked investigation and speedy trial, saying his family has been left devastated by the loss of both his son and his father within a span of 20 days.

In an email addressed to the President’s Secretary, Vishal Agarwal appealed for the case to be heard in a fast-track court, stating that the family was not seeking special treatment but only timely justice.

‘I am just a father seeking justice’

Expressing his grief, Vishal Agarwal wrote that he was reaching out not as a businessman or an influential person, but as a father seeking justice for his son.

“I am writing this email with a heart full of pain and hope. I am not writing as a businessman or someone with influence. I am just a father seeking justice for my son,” he said.

Family suffered another tragedy

In the letter, Vishal Agarwal revealed that his own father passed away just 20 days after Ketan’s death, saying the elderly man could not bear the emotional trauma of losing his grandson.

“Within just 20 days of losing Ketan, I also lost my own father. He loved his grandson more than anything. He could not bear the shock and grief of Ketan’s death. In just 20 days, I lost both my son and my father. Our family has been shattered,” the letter stated.

Appeal for speedy justice

Seeking an expeditious trial, Vishal Agarwal urged that the accused be awarded the strictest punishment under the law and requested that the case be transferred to a fast-track court.

He said delays in the judicial process only add to the suffering of families awaiting justice.

“We are not asking for any special treatment. We only want this case to be heard in a fast-track court so that justice is delivered at the earliest. Delay in justice only increases the pain of families like ours,” he wrote.

Requests President’s intervention

Appealing directly to President Murmu, Vishal Agarwal urged her to ensure that the investigation and legal proceedings move forward without unnecessary delay.

“Please don’t let my son’s case become just another file. Behind this case is a family that has lost everything,” he said.

About the case

Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered near Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. Police have alleged that his fiancée, Siya, along with her friend and alleged partner Chetan Babulal Chaudhary, was involved in the crime. The investigation into the murder is currently underway, and authorities are continuing to gather evidence.
