Patna Court to Deliver Verdict on Khan Sir’s Anticipatory Bail Plea Today

Patna: A civil court in Patna is set to pronounce its verdict on Friday on the anticipatory bail plea filed by noted educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with a dispute involving fellow coaching operator Roshan Anand.

The order, expected from the court of District and Sessions Judge Rupesh Dev, will determine whether Khan Sir and his two bodyguards will receive protection from arrest in the case.

Court reserved order after hearing arguments

The court reserved its verdict after hearing detailed submissions from both sides earlier this week. Arguments began on Tuesday and continued for nearly 40 minutes before remaining inconclusive. The hearing resumed on Wednesday, after which the judge reserved the order.

Khan Sir’s counsel, Advocate Rajat Singh, said the arguments covered several issues, including the firearm licence of one of Khan Sir’s bodyguards. He added that the court observed the matter had been pending for a considerable period and should be decided expeditiously.

Dispute dates back to June 2 incident

The case stems from an incident on June 2 in Patna’s Kadamkuan area involving Khan Sir and Roshan Anand, who runs Gyan Bindu GS Academy.

According to the allegations, a security guard was assaulted and property was vandalised during the altercation. Khan Sir has accused Anand of orchestrating the attack. A video purportedly linked to the incident later went viral on social media, following which legal proceedings were initiated.

The court’s decision on the anticipatory bail plea is expected to provide the next legal direction in the high-profile coaching dispute case.
