Khatu Shyam Darbar decorated with 108 types of flowers, 20-foot-tall drum becomes an attraction

Rajasthan: Today is the second day of the Falguni Lakkhi Fair at the Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan. Baba Shyam’s court is decorated with 108 types of flowers from India and abroad. The special decoration with pink flowers has mesmerized the devotees.

Special decoration with pink flowers

On the second day of the fair, Baba Shyam was adorned with pink flowers brought from Bengal. The temple complex is decorated with red and yellow fabrics. The approximately 20-foot-tall drum at the main entrance is a center of attraction for the devotees.

On the first day, a huge crowd gathered to see the white decoration, while today, due to it being a Sunday, the number of devotees has increased further.

Lines of devotees from Ringas to Khatu

Long queues of pilgrims are visible from Ringas to Khatu. In addition to Rajasthan, a large number of devotees are arriving with Nishan from Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The fair is filled with excitement, with drums and cheers.

It is estimated that 2 to 3 lakh devotees may arrive for darshan today.

Service Camps and Special Arrangements

With the start of the fair, hundreds of service camps and food stalls have been set up in Khatu Nagari and along the pilgrimage route. As the fair progresses, their number is expected to exceed 500.

A nearly 10-foot-tall statue of Lord Krishna, depicting him playing the flute, has also been installed in the court. Tableaus depicting the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva have also been displayed.

The administration has strengthened security and arrangements for this eight-day fair.
