Four Killed After Car Falls Into Ravine in Kinnaur

Kinnaur: A tragic road accident claimed four lives in Kinnaur district on Saturday, February 14, after a Maruti Suzuki Alto car lost control and plunged into a deep ravine.

The incident occurred on the Jani Link Road in the Nichar subdivision. The vehicle reportedly lost balance while navigating the hilly stretch and fell into a ditch.

Four Die on the Spot

According to reports, four of the five occupants died instantly due to the severity of the crash. The deceased have been identified as:

• Himesh Kumar (19), resident of Jani village

• Krishna (42), resident of Jani village

• Inder Lal (30), resident of Jani village

• Sushma (47), resident of Grange village

Local police and rescue teams rushed to the spot after receiving information, recovered the bodies, and initiated further investigation.

One Critically Injured, Under Treatment

Vidya Krishna (32), also from Jani village, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries. She was initially given first aid and later referred to Jindal Sanjivani Hospital, where her condition remains critical.

Police Begin Investigation

Police have registered a case and are probing the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest the car may have lost control on the mountainous road, but further details are awaited.
