KMM Punjab announces protest on February 5, gherao of houses of ministers and MLAs

February 3, 2026

Kisan Mazdoor Morcha Punjab has announced a protest, under which a one-day dharna will be held across the state on February 5 to express its protest over the unfulfilled demands. KMM leaders informed that under the protest, the houses of (6) ministers and (21) MLAs, including Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, will be surrounded.

The leaders informed that during this, large gatherings will be held and several resolutions will be passed, in which inhuman torture and mental torture against the relatives of ordinary youth gangsters, who have no involvement in the crime, under the guise of violence against gangsters, should be stopped immediately.

Apart from this, drug addicts should be treated and rehabilitated in society. Action should be taken against the nefarious alliance formed by drugs, big drug mafia, politicians, and big police officers, under whose umbrella drugs are sold. The central government should ban drugs coming from across the border through drones.

Also, we will condemn the central and Punjab governments through resolutions for their anti-people decisions like completely forgetting about agriculture, farmers, laborers and the general public in the central budget, making the budget completely pro-corporate, withdrawing subsidy of Rs 10,000 crore from fertilisers, etc.
