Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu: No hostel at KNH, OPD shift only

There is an uproar regarding the shift of the gynecology OPD from Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH) in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. On this, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu made a statement. He said that the mother and Child Hospital is not being shifted from KNH. Only the gynecology OPD is being shifted.

CM Sukhu said that the news about converting KNH into an MLA hostel is false. The government is not going to do anything like that. The CM said that the 100-year-old Mother and Child Hospital will remain there. A facility of 270 beds has already been provided here. He said that more buildings will be constructed in KNH.

Patients will benefit from robotic surgery

The Chief Minister said – Treatment with modern gynecology technology will be available at IGMC. Here, the benefit of robotic surgery will mostly go to gynecology patients. He said – The government is shifting the gynecology OPD to IGMC with good intentions, and some people are politicizing this.

Gynecology OPD shifted for better treatment: CM

Sukhu said that the ultrasound machine in KNH is 15 years old. Therefore, with the intention of better treatment, the government has made a well-considered decision. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party and CPI(M) have strongly objected to shifting the gynecology OPD from KNH. Protests against this have begun.

DC ordered to investigate in Chester Hill case: Sukhu

In the Chester Hill controversy, CM Sukhu said that the government has written to the DC Solan regarding this matter. Sukhu said that they act based on facts.
