Kota: Fiancee orchestrated murder of her groom-to-be, paid Rs 10,000

A major revelation has emerged regarding the case of a young man who was beaten to death in the Kota district of Rajasthan. According to reports, the young man, whose wedding was scheduled to take place just eight days later, was assaulted at the behest of his own fiancée, who had paid a sum of ₹10,000 to have him beaten up.

However, the assault was so severe that the young man succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into this entire sequence of events has also revealed that the young woman did not like the man and did not wish to marry him. Currently, the Etawah Police Station is investigating the matter.

Rural Superintendent of Police Sujit Shankar stated that a life-threatening attack was carried out approximately three days ago against Dharmendra, a resident of Daulatpura. Dharmendra was returning from his in-laws’ home, where he had gone to provide his ring size, when assailants attacked him, resulting in his death.

Based on the investigation conducted so far and the report filed by the family members, the police have detained the prime accused, Mukut Gochar, while two other suspects are also being interrogated. The family members had accused the young man’s fiancée and her minor brother of orchestrating his murder.

Contract Issued to Break His Limbs for ₹10,000

Interrogation of the arrested accused, Mukut Gochar, revealed that the young woman had commissioned him to break Dharmendra’s hands and legs. She had instructed him to intercept the young man on his way back from her home and break his limbs so that he would be rendered unfit for marriage. For this task, the young woman had paid Mukut a sum of ₹10,000.

Lured Under the Pretext of Pre-Wedding Shopping

According to the police, the Lagan (pre-wedding ritual) was scheduled for April 27, and Dharmendra’s wedding was set for May 1. However, on April 22, the young woman called Dharmendra and asked him to come over to purchase clothes and jewelry. After the shopping trip, as Dharmendra was returning to his village, accompanied by his future brother-in-law, after visiting the Jaleshwar Mahadev temple, Mukut Gochar and his accomplices attacked him. Dharmendra passed away at a hospital in Kota while undergoing treatment.
