Los Angeles: An old interview featuring Kristen Stewart has resurfaced on social media, bringing back the actress’s candid recollection of accidentally injuring Chris Hemsworth while filming the 2012 fantasy action film Snow White and the Huntsman.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Stewart shared how a choreographed fight sequence unexpectedly resulted in Hemsworth suffering facial injuries after one of her punches landed for real.
‘I punched him right out of his close-up’
Speaking about the incident, Stewart jokingly said Hemsworth “needed a bit of roughing up” before explaining what actually happened during filming.
She recalled that while performing an action scene, she accidentally struck Hemsworth in the face instead of narrowly missing him as planned.
Stewart admitted she immediately feared she had ruined the film and thought production might have to stop after the unexpected mishap.
Chris Hemsworth suffered facial injuries during the scene
The accidental punch reportedly left Hemsworth with a bloody nose, a black eye and swelling on his face.
Stewart said she was relieved that Hemsworth reacted calmly and described him as “the nicest guy in the world.”
According to the actress, she felt extremely guilty and rushed to check on her co-star after the incident.
Hemsworth later joked about the accident
Despite the painful blow, Hemsworth later made light of the incident, joking that he was more disappointed Stewart had stopped filming to apologise than by the punch itself.
He reportedly remarked that if the cameras had kept rolling, it could have been the “most truthful take” of the scene.
The story has resurfaced after an old clip from The Graham Norton Show gained traction online once again, with fans revisiting the behind-the-scenes moment from Snow White and the Huntsman, which starred Kristen Stewart as Snow White and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman.
