Kurukshetra: Rapid shooting at midnight in Ladwa; masked men fired 18 bullets at college owner’s house

Intense, rapid-fire shooting erupted at midnight near the Devi Temple in Ladwa’s Agarwal Colony. Two masked assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire at the residence of Rajneesh Bansal, the administrator of the renowned Himalayan Group of Colleges in Himachal Pradesh.

The miscreants fired approximately 18 rounds at the house. The barrage shattered the windows and left bullet marks embedded in the walls. However, there was no loss of life, as no family members were present at the residence at the time of the incident.

At the time of the attack, only a domestic help, Om Prakash, was sleeping inside the house. Suddenly, at 12:30 AM, a hail of bullets began. Terrified, he remained huddled inside. Once the gunfire ceased, he called the family and the police to inform them of the incident.

Acting on this information, DSP Nirmal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) Gurnam Singh, and a CIA team arrived at the scene. Eighteen spent cartridges have been recovered from the crime scene. The police are now scouring CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
