Kurukshetra Road Accident: Motorcycle Rams Into Tractor-Trolley, 63-Year-Old Dies

Kurukshetra: A 63-year-old motorcyclist died after his motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley parked on the road near Rawa village on Barara Road in Shahabad, Kurukshetra. The accident occurred when the tractor-trolley driver reportedly stopped on the road to check the vehicle’s tyre pressure without using indicators or reflectors.

The deceased was identified as Sudesh Kumar, a resident of Rawa village who worked as a mason. According to his son Baljit Singh’s statement to police, the tractor-trolley was parked on the road near a petrol pump when the accident took place.

Motorcycle Crashes Into Parked Tractor-Trolley

Baljit Singh told police that his father was returning home to Rawa from Shahabad on his motorcycle after finishing work. When he reached near the petrol pump in Rawa village, he allegedly failed to notice the tractor-trolley parked on the road.

The tractor-trolley was reportedly without indicators or reflectors, while its driver was checking the tyre pressure. Sudesh’s motorcycle crashed into the tractor-trolley from behind, throwing him onto the road along with the motorcycle.

People nearby gathered at the spot after hearing about the accident and helped take the injured man to the Civil Hospital in Shahabad.

Doctors Declare Sudesh Kumar Dead

Doctors at the hospital examined Sudesh Kumar and declared him dead. Following the incident, the tractor driver reportedly fled the spot with the vehicle.

Police reached the hospital after receiving information about the accident, took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

Police Register Case, Probe Underway

Shahabad police station SHO Jagdish Tamak said a case has been registered based on the complaint given by the deceased’s son. Police have also noted the tractor’s registration number and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The police are examining the allegations regarding the tractor-trolley being stopped on the road without proper indicators or reflectors and are investigating the driver’s role in the accident.
