Kurukshetra: Class 12 Student gang-raped in hotel, two arrested

A Class 12 student from Kurukshetra district was gang-raped at a city hotel. Upon receiving the information, the police arranged for the victim’s medical examination at the District Civil Hospital, and an FIR was registered against the accused based on a complaint filed by her family members.

On Monday, the police arrested the accused individuals, Monu and Jitendra, in connection with this case. Police spokesperson Madan Lal stated that the accused would be produced before the court on Tuesday.

The police spokesperson further explained that the minor, a Class 12 student, had an altercation with her family members on May 2. Following the argument, she left in anger, boarded a bus, and reached the Hisar bus stand.

There, she encountered Monu, a resident of Danoda village in the Jind district. Monu lured the student to a hotel located at Camp Chowk and raped her. Subsequently, the accused summoned Jitendra, a native of Uttarakhand who worked at the hotel.

Jitendra then proceeded to rape the minor as well. Later, the student somehow managed to escape from the hotel and recounted her ordeal to her family members. A complaint was subsequently lodged with the police. The police are currently interrogating the accused individuals.
