Ladowal Toll Plaza free from January 26! Read about Farmer Unions announcement

The Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union and Bharatiya Kisan Union Doaba have announced to make the Ladowal Toll Plaza in Ludhiana free on January 26. This protest is being held to demand the strengthening of the Satluj River embankment near Sasrali Kala village and to improve the poor condition of the Ludhiana-Raho road.

The farmer leaders said that due to the poor condition of the Satluj River embankment at Sasrali Kala village, farmers are at risk of major losses. Along with this, the condition of the Ludhiana-Raho road has deteriorated a lot, due to which the common people and farmers have to face problems in transportation.

They said that applications were submitted to the administration many times regarding these demands, but no concrete action has been taken so far. Annoyed by the administration’s negligence, a protest will be held on January 26 by making the toll plaza free.

Farmer leaders warned that if their demands are not met, the struggle could be intensified, and it is possible that the toll plaza could be made permanently free.
