New Delhi: A gas leak at a coaching institute in Mahesh Nagar, Jaipur, led to ten students being hospitalized after they lost consciousness. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, causing widespread panic as students experienced severe headaches and breathing difficulties.
According to police reports, initial investigations indicate that the gas leak likely originated from a nearby drain. Additionally, smoke from a kitchen on the building’s terrace is also being examined as a possible factor.
A doctor at a private hospital stated that seven students displayed symptoms of suffocation and respiratory distress, while others were taken to different medical facilities. Thankfully, the affected students, who reported coughing and difficulty breathing, are now in stable condition.
Authorities have discounted food poisoning as the cause, but they are still working to pinpoint the exact source of the gas leak.
