The number of people who lost their lives due to COVID-19 has reached 20. Of these, the highest number of 6 deaths are in Maharashtra. A 63-year-old man died in Mysore, Karnataka on Friday. This is the third death due to coronavirus in the state.

Apart from this, a total of 13 patients have died in Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The Health Department also confirmed one death each in Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu on May 31.

2 people have been confirmed with COVID-19 in Mizoram. Health department officials said that Covid cases were found 7 months after the last such case was reported in the state. The last case of Covid-19 in Mizoram was reported in October 2024, during which 73 people were infected with the virus in the state.

He said that the patients are being treated at Zoram Medical College and Hospital (ZMCH) in Falcon near Aizawl. The Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) of the state health department has asked people not to panic.

The IDSP has advised people to follow the Covid protocol, wash hands regularly, use hand sanitizer and avoid crowded areas.
