Kullu: A major bus accident was narrowly averted on Saturday morning in Banjar, Kullu district, when a private bus traveling from Gada Gushaini to Banjar skidded off the road near Bari Ropa. The incident occurred around 10:30 am, with approximately 40 to 50 passengers on board at the time of the mishap.
According to the eyewitnesses, the accident was caused by the bus slipping off the road, leading to panic among passengers Five people sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to Banjar Hospital with the help of local residents and police. Fortunately, all the injured are reported to be out of danger.
Banjar MLA Surendra Shauri reached the spot soon after receiving news of the incident. The local administration swiftly initiated relief and rescue operations. the prompt action of locals and authorities helped prevent what could have been a far more serious tragedy.
