Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has returned to work following his New Year vacation, stating that his “joy of solitude” has transformed into the “joys of work and routine.”

In a recent blog post, he shared his reflections: “And so we leave this morn(ing) to our home destination… and the joy of solitude now converts to the joys of work and routine blessings. Routines become a legacy of the aged.” He also mused about the quirky traits that come with age, acknowledging, “Yes indeed… age is aged, but we must be grateful for all.”

On January 3, Bachchan paid tribute to influential figures the nation lost in 2024, including entrepreneur Ratan Tata, tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, and acclaimed filmmaker Shyam Benegal. He shared a tribute featuring a cartoon by artist Satish Acharya, which celebrated these legends.

Bachchan captioned the tribute, highlighting the unity in diversity of India: “A Parsi, a Muslim, a Sikh, and a Hindu passed away in 2024, and the entire nation mourned them, remembering them only as Indians.”

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on December 26 at the age of 92 due to complications from age-related illness, shortly after being admitted to AIIMS Delhi. Filmmaker Shyam Benegal died on December 23 at 90 due to chronic kidney disease, while Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group, passed away in October 2024 at 86, followed by Zakir Hussain, who died at 73.

On the professional front, Bachchan was last seen in the film “Vettaiyan,” where he shared the screen with Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati.
