Ashish Shelar proposes single-window clearance scheme for film shoot permits across Maharashtra

Mumbai: Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs Minister and Mumbai BJP Chief, announced a new initiative on December 27 to launch a single-window clearance scheme aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining film shoot permits in the state. This initiative intends to enhance film production efficiency, boost employment opportunities, and establish Maharashtra as a primary destination.

Mumbai: Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs Minister and Mumbai BJP Chief, announced a new initiative on December 27 to launch a single-window clearance scheme aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining film shoot permits in the state. This initiative intends to enhance film production efficiency, boost employment opportunities, and establish Maharashtra as a primary destination for film shoots.

During a recent meeting, Shelar highlighted the Cultural Affairs department’s role in creating jobs while raising awareness about social issues. He urged senior officials to effectively implement the proposed initiatives.

Discussions included the online implementation of the single-window clearance scheme across the state, plans for redeveloping the P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, and arrangements for various upcoming events, such as the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar special publication and the Maharashtra Bhushan Award ceremony.

The meeting was attended by key figures, including Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry, and other senior officials from various cultural bodies.
