Bihar: The central school in the Air forces station premises in Bihar Bihta area have been shutdown on the saturday after the leaapord was seen in the school premises.

Official sources, said that the leapord was spotted in the ares multiple times from thyer last two months. He also said that to enure the safety of childrens enrolled in the school the authorities have decided to close the school for an indefinite period.

The efforts have been made by Wild life department and and officials of Air Force stattion to capture the cat.

The closure of school have led siginificant accademic dissruptions to the studennts especially who are prepearing for their board exams.

The authorities have also sighted the presence of wild boars near the school. The presence of wild animals regularly in the ares have also increased fear among the villagers who nare worried abouit the safety of their wards enrolled in nearby schools.

Meanwhile Divsional Forest Officer Patna Gaurav Ojha tolf media that the department have placed cages inside the school premises to capture thye leapord. He also said that the leapord recently approached towards the cage installed by the department but avoided to entering bin the cage and added efforts are going on to capture the animal at early.

He further said that the department have installed camera survilalnmce and drone camera to monitor the the movements of leapord at the targetted trap area’s.  The Air Force Station area spread over 900 acres is a haven for wildlife due to dense vegetation. This has resulted in frequent human-wildlife encounters and heightened risks for both animals and humans.
