Bihar: A 26-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree in a garden under suspicious circumstances in Chakdadanpur village, located in Bihar’s Vaishali district, on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Vinay Kumar, also known as Bhajan, was a local resident. Mahua police station’s SHO, Rakesh Kumar, stated that an investigation is underway, exploring all possible angles, but the cause of death remains undetermined at this time.
The discovery was made early Thursday morning by a villager who promptly alerted the police. Upon investigation, authorities found several items at the scene, including a water bottle, a packet of chips, a disposable glass, and cigarette butts.
“We cannot draw any conclusions until we receive the postmortem report,” Kumar noted. Vinay, who had been married for two years, leaves his family deeply concerned.
Family members suspect foul play and have raised questions about the circumstances of his death. They suggested that Vinay might have been hosting a gathering in the garden at the time. The presence of used disposable glasses, snacks, cigarettes, and other items suggests he may have been with others.
The family has called on the district police to conduct a thorough investigation and apprehend anyone involved. Police are actively working to gather evidence and determine whether others were present during the events leading to Vinay’s death.
In a related incident, a woman constable from the Musrigharari police station was found hanging in a bathroom at the Samastipur police station on Tuesday; she was also from Vaishali district.
