The Central government on Monday, May 26, notified the appointment of seven advocates — including one woman — as judges across different high courts in India. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the development on X, stating that the appointments were made by the President of India after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, as per constitutional provisions.

1. Deepak Khot, Amit Seth and Pavan Kumar Dwivedi have been appointed as judges of Madhya Pradesh High Court.
2. Rohit Kapoor is appointed as additional judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
3. Subhash Upadhyay has been appointed as additional judge of Uttarakhand High Court
4. Smt Shamima Jahan has been appointed as additional judge of Guahati High Court.
5. Sachin Shivajirao Deshmukh has been appointed as additional judge of Bombay High Court.
