Chief Director of Punjab Vigilance Bureau removed, ADGP Nageswara Rao given charge

Now ADGP G Nageswara Rao has been given this responsibility in his place.

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has removed Special DGP IPS Varinder Kumar from the post of Chief Director of Punjab Vigilance Bureau. The action came two days after Punjab government issued an order telling all the heads of departments, DCs, SSPs that no kind of corruption will be tolerated in the system.

Vigilance chief Varinder Kumar has been removed from the post of Chief Director. Now ADGP G Nageswara Rao has been given this responsibility in his place. Orders in this regard have been issued.

The removal of the vigilance chief is a big action in the context of the order issued by the Punjab government regarding no tolerance towards corruption.

The Punjab government can take more such strict action in the coming days.
