This time State Hood-Day is being celebrated in Baijnath of Kangra district. Usually every year the CM makes many announcements on State Hood-Day. This time also the employees and pensioners of the state are waiting for the arrears of the new pay scale along with DA.
The former BJP government of Himachal had given the benefits of the new pay scale to the employees before the change of power in 2022. But the arrears due from January 1, 2016 were not paid. The employees are upset with this, because the wait for the arrears for 8 years is not getting over.
Employees-pensioners waiting for DA and salary arrears
The government owes more than Rs 9000 crore of arrears of the employees and pensioners of the state. In such a situation, employees-pensioners are waiting for arrears. It is expected that on January 25, Chief Minister Sukhu will announce DA along with arrears. A decision is likely after discussion in the cabinet.
Apart from this, approval can be given to start robotic surgery in IGMC and Tanda Medical College. Edible oil is not available in the depots of the state for 3 months. The government can also take a decision on this.
Recruitment can be approved
In the cabinet meeting, the announcements made by CM Sukhu in Dharamshala during the last 8 days can also be implemented. Recruitment in various departments can also be approved in the cabinet.
CM Sukhu on winter stay
CM Sukhu is on winter stay in Dharamshala for 8 days. During this period, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores of rupees in different areas of Kangra district. CM also reached Manali 5 days ago. CM Sukhu will return to Shimla after Statehood Day tomorrow.
