Haryana: Crime Branch DLF team has arrested the husband who absconded after killing his wife in Faridabad, Haryana. He had a fight with his wife over money on the night of 16 May. In the morning the son found his mother lying on the bed in a bloody condition. He took him to the hospital, where he died. The police have recovered the phone of the deceased from the murdered husband. He has been taken on remand for one day.
Faridabad Police spokesperson said that the arrested accused Shambhu Singh (40) is a resident of village Betona, district Madhepura, Bihar, Hall Trikha Colony, Ballabgarh. Crime branch team SI Kaptan Singh, chief constable Anand Singh, chief constable Joginder and constable Naseeb have arrested the accused from Ballabgarh bus stand with their secret sources.
During interrogation it was revealed that accused Shambhu Singh works as a labourer. His wife used to do cleaning work in the houses. The accused had a fight with his wife on the night of 16/17 May over money. His son Abhinash Kumar said in his complaint that when he went to his room on May 17, he saw his mother Poonam (35) in an injured condition. He was badly hurt. She was lying on the bed in a bloody condition.
Poonam told her that her husband Shambhu Singh had hit her with a hammer. Poonam was taken to GH Ballabgarh for treatment, where the doctor declared the woman dead. On the complaint of Abhinash Kumar, a case was registered under sections of murder at Ballabgarh police station. The deceased’s phone has been recovered during interrogation. Accused Shambhu has been taken on police remand for 1 day to collect other evidence in the case.
