New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of “extorting money from the public” in the capital. This allegation follows the release of an alleged audio recording featuring AAP MLA Naresh Balyan, who is purportedly heard discussing extortion tactics with a gangster targeting a businessman.

In an interview, Sachdeva claimed that Arvind Kejriwal’s “criminal face” is now exposed, alleging that Balyan is involved in exploiting the public instead of serving them. He pointed to social media clips where Balyan appears to give instructions to gangsters on how to threaten and extort individuals, with the proceeds being shared.

During a press conference, Sachdeva asserted that Balyan is directly implicated in extortion and called for prompt action from investigative agencies. He emphasized the need for an investigation into Balyan’s alleged use of gangsters to extort money from associates, including builders, to ensure the safety of Delhi residents.

Sachdeva also expressed concern over Balyan’s reported connections to gangster Kapil Sangwan, known as “Nandu,” who reportedly operates from London. He recalled previous accusations linking Balyan to Sangwan, who has a criminal background, including involvement in a murder case.

Furthermore, Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for neglecting key issues, such as deteriorating law and order, while blaming the central government. He questioned why Kejriwal avoids discussing pressing matters like the poor condition of roads, water supply issues, and electricity bills, as well as allegations of corruption related to the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and the excise policy. Sachdeva demanded accountability from Kejriwal for the governance failures impacting Delhi residents.
