Mumbai: Dua Lipa has arrived in Mumbai ahead of her concert scheduled for November 30. The singer was spotted at Kalina airport on Thursday, wearing a yellow t-shirt and black pants, looking a bit tired from her journey as she exited the VIP area.
This marks Dua’s second visit to India, though it will be her first live performance in the country. Previously, she traveled to Rajasthan for a holiday where she went largely unnoticed. However, this time, she is focused on making an impact and attracting a large audience.
Indian playback singer Jonita Gandhi will open for Dua on November 30. Recently, Dua expressed her excitement about a mash-up of her hit song “Levitating” with “Wo Ladki Jo Sabse Alag Hai” from the Shah Rukh Khan film “Baadshah,” describing the mashup as “amazing” and noting that she was impressed when she first heard it.
Dua Lipa is a highly acclaimed artist, having won seven Brit Awards and three Grammy Awards. In 2024, Time magazine recognized her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Before launching her music career with Warner Bros. in 2014, she worked as a model. Her self-titled debut album, released in 2017, reached number three on the UK Albums Chart and featured popular singles like “Be the One,” “IDGAF,” and the UK number-one hit “New Rules.” In 2018, she received Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
