Trump said Musk now wants to start a third political party in America, which has never been successful in history.
Trump said,
The American system is not built for such parties. The only job of third parties is to spread chaos and anarchy. And we already have enough chaos, which is being spread by the Radical Left Democrats.

Musk organized a party after the poll on social media
Musk said in his social post that 66% of you want a new political party and now you will get it. Both parties in America (Republican and Democrat) are the same when it comes to ruining America and corruption. Now the country will get freedom from the 2 party system.
He wrote- Today America Party is being formed, so that you can get your freedom back. ” Regarding this, he also conducted a public poll on X.
Musk posted a poll on X on July 4, America’s Independence Day. In this, he asked, “Do you want freedom from the two-party system? Should we make America a party?” In the poll results, 65.4% of the people voted “yes” and 34.6% voted “no”.
Musk will not be able to contest elections, wants to become a kingmaker
According to the US Constitution, only a person born in America can contest elections. Musk was born in South Africa. In such a situation, he cannot contest elections in America. Musk will field his own candidates.
In November 2026, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 34 out of 100 seats in the Senate will be up for election. Musk’s plan is to win 8-10 seats in the House of Representatives and 3-4 seats in the Senate, so that he can play the role of kingmaker by stopping Trump’s bills.
Musk donated Rs 2500 crore to Trump in the 2024 presidential election. But then Musk separated from the Doji organization and is now opposing Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.
What is America’s two party system?
For the last 150 years, only two parties, Democratic and Republican, have dominated the politics of America. These two parties dominate everything from presidential elections to state assemblies. This two-party system is also considered to be the reason for the stability of American democracy.
The Democratic Party started in 1828 during the time of Andrew Jackson. It was initially considered the party of farmers and the general public.
In the 20th century it became an advocate of social welfare, economic reforms such as the New Deal, and civil rights.
At the same time, the Republican Party was formed in 1854 in opposition to slavery and Abraham Lincoln became its first president. In the 20th century it became a party supporting trade and tax cuts.
Why did the third party not succeed?
Third parties have been formed several times in the US, but have not succeeded. In 1912, President Theodore Roosevelt formed the Bull Moose Party and won 88 electoral votes.
However, the party did not survive the next election. In 1992, Ross Perot took 19% of the popular vote, but not a single electoral vote.
These parties do not get funding, organization and space in the media. Voters also consider them vote cutters. This is the reason why parties like Libertarian or Green Party have not been able to get more than 3-4% votes in the presidential elections so far.
The main reason for the failure of the third party in America is its electoral system. The electoral structure here supports the two-party system.
Musk and Trump clashed over the Big Beautiful Bill
On June 5, Musk and President Donald Trump had a heated exchange over the Big Beautiful tax and spending bill, after which Musk distanced himself from the Trump administration.
Trump said, ‘Musk started having problems when we talked about cutting the law of compulsory purchase of electric vehicles. I am very disappointed with Elon. I have helped him a lot.’
After this, Musk posted several tweets on his social media platform X calling Trump ungrateful. Musk said, ‘If I was not there, Trump would have lost the election.’ He even talked about impeaching Trump.
