Jind, June 3: The police had an encounter with the criminals who had fired at a toll plaza and a seed shop in Jind and had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from a factory owner. In this, two criminals were shot in the leg. The injured have been brought to Jind Civil Hospital for treatment.
Let us tell you that on the night of 27 May, two bike riders demanded a ransom of 50 lakhs from a factory owner in Barsola and fled after firing outside the factory. From here, the accused came on a bike to the Khatkar toll plaza around 8 o’clock. Both were wearing caps and had masks on their faces. The bike riders fired three rounds in the air and fled from here towards Uchana.
Firing was done outside the seed shop
Both the masked men reached in front of the Balaji Beej Bhandar shop in Uchana Mandi at 8:32 pm. Both of them stopped the bike there and the youth sitting behind started firing at the shop while sitting on the bike. The bullets hit the glass of the shop. After this, the bike rider got down and threatened the shopkeeper while waving the gun. After this, both of them fled.
Shop owner Surendra Garg said that he was sitting at the shop as usual. He had no quarrel with anyone. The faces of the attackers were covered. As soon as the information of firing was received, SP Kuldeep Singh, DSP Sanjay and Uchana police station in-charge and outpost in-charge reached the spot.
Raids were being conducted for arrest
On the instructions of SP, the CIA police were conducting raids to arrest the accused. On Tuesday afternoon, an encounter took place between CIA police and the criminals. Both the criminals were injured after being shot by police in the leg, after which they were arrested. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The criminals have been identified as Mohit Sharma resident of Indergarh, Rohtak and Mohit Jangra Sanwala Kalan, Jind.
