A fire broke out in a scrap warehouse in Jamalpura near Pataudi in Gurugram district on Wednesday afternoon, causing panic in the surrounding area. The flames and black clouds of smoke put the entire area in panic. Due to which the local people came out of their homes.
The employees working in the warehouse somehow escaped and saved their lives, but the fire engulfed the scrap and other flammable material kept in the warehouse. Due to which, heavy losses are expected.
As soon as the incident was reported, half a dozen fire brigade teams from Gurugram and surrounding areas immediately reached the spot. Fire brigade teams are engaged in extinguishing the fire on the spot. Most of the goods kept in the warehouse were burnt to ashes.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire was so intense that the flames and smoke were visible from several kilometers away. Due to the smoke, the nearby residents had to face difficulty in breathing. Due to which the administration evacuated the surrounding areas as a precaution. In the preliminary investigation, the cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit or incorrect storage of flammable material. However, the exact reason is yet to be known.
