Fatehabad: A major disaster was averted today when a fire broke out in a bus carrying 61 devotees on their way to the Dera Radha Swami in Sikanderpur. The incident occurred around 6 AM between the villages of Badhopal and Dhangar, near Hotel Kamal Kiku. Fortunately, all the passengers managed to escape unharmed, thanks to the prompt actions of the bus driver and conductor.
According to reports, the fire started in the rear tire of the bus, which was en route from Hisar to Sikanderpur. The driver, Amit, a resident of Dwarka village in Dadri, noticed the fire through the rearview mirror and quickly stopped the bus. Without wasting any time, he ordered all passengers to evacuate immediately. As soon as the passengers disembarked, the bus was engulfed in flames, turning into a fireball.
Upon receiving the alert, the police team from Badhopal and fire department personnel from Fatehabad rushed to the scene. The fire brigade worked tirelessly to bring the flames under control. Despite the significant damage to the bus, no casualties were reported, and the timely evacuation saved lives.
This quick-thinking action by the driver and conductor helped avoid what could have been a major tragedy. The fire was caused by an issue with the rear tire, but the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. The incident highlights the importance of prompt response and vigilance in preventing major accidents.
