Fortunate to be here: MP CM Mohan Yadav offers prayers at Golden Temple

CM Yadav said that he was fortunate enough to offer prayers here at Golden Temple and prayed for the welfare of the country and to become the number one country in the world.

Amritsar: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav offered prayers at the Golden Temple in Punjab’s Amritsar on Thursday. Mohan Yadav is in Punjab for the election campaign. Punjab will undergo polling on June 1. On the last day of election campaigning, all political leaders are giving their best and promoting the candidate from the respective seat.

After offering the prayers, CM Yadav said that he was fortunate enough to offer prayers here at Golden Temple and prayed for the welfare of the country and to become the number one country in the world.


“Today is the last day of campaigning for the 7th and last phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. I am fortunate enough to offer prayers here at Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). The satisfaction received after offering prayers here can’t be expressed in words but it can be felt by the inner soul. I have prayed for the welfare of the country and to become the number one country in the world. I hope BJP forms the government again under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the CM told ANI.



The chief minister further remembered the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and slammed the Congress party saying the grand old party only believes in the ideology of divide and rule.

“Standing here, I remember the time in 1984 when an attempt was made to attack this temple (Golden Temple), I condemn this… Congress only believes in the ideology of divide and rule,” the CM said.

“It is our requirement today that PM Modi once again leads the country and makes Indian democracy proud across the globe,” CM Yadav concluded.

The voting in 13 seats of Punjab along with the union territory of Chandigarh is being held in a single phase on June 1. The counting of votes will be done on June 4.
