Jalandhar: Commissionerate Police Jalandhar, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, IPS and the supervision of DCP (Investigation) Sh. Manpreet Singh, PPS successfully solved a murder case within 24 hours, apprehending four individuals along with the vehicle and Sharp weapons used in the crime.
Divulging the details, CP Jalandhar said that FIR No. 176 dated 17.06.2025 u/s 103, 109, 191(3), and 190 BNS was registered at Police Station Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, on the Statement of Mukesh Kumar. The incident occurred on the night of 16.06.2025 at the Suchi Pind turn, main road, Jalandhar, where Mukesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Mandeep Kumar, and their father Jai Ram were attacked at their grocery shop by unidentified individuals. This brutal assault led to the unfortunate murder of Mandeep Kumar.
Following the registration of the FIR, the police launched a swift and coordinated investigation. Multiple police teams were formed and, with the assistance of technical surveillance, six individuals were identified in connection with this crime: Yadwinder Singh alias Prince, Sahil Kumar alias Jeher, Krishna, Ankit, Akashdeep, and Anmol. On 18.06.2025, Following Four of these accused were apprehended:
1. Yadwinder Singh alias Prince* son of Talwinder Singh, resident of Suchi village, Jalandhar
Criminal History:
FIR No. 242 (dated 05.11.2021), Section 379-B IPC, Police Station Ramamandi
FIR No. 175 (dated 04.08.2024), Sections 109, 190, 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 115(2) BNS, Police Station Ramamandi
2. Akashdeep Singh alias Golu* son of Balwant Singh, resident of village Kotla near Sheikhe village, Jalandhar
3. Sahil Kumar alias Jihar* son of Sukhwinder Ram, resident of Mankaran, Jalandhar (Present Address: Sheikhe village, Jalandhar)
4. Juvenile Age: 17 Years
Recovery : Scorpio vehicle number PB-08-AH-4686, 3 sharp weapons
The arrested individuals were presented before the Hon’ble Court and three days police remand was obtained. Efforts are ongoing to trace the remaining accused and they will be apprehended soon.
