Ludhiana: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Sunday that the state government is striving to actively involve youth in the socio-economic development of Punjab.
Speaking at the inter-zonal youth festival at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), he highlighted the potential of young people, stating that their skills should be harnessed effectively.
Mann likened students and youth to planes, asserting that the government aims to provide them with a launch pad for success in their lives.
He expressed his commitment to supporting Punjab’s students until they achieve their aspirations, emphasizing that every effort is being made to empower their ideas and ambitions.
The Chief Minister encouraged the youth to strive for individuality and make their mark in society, reminding them that limitless possibilities await them. He urged them to remain humble in victory and to continue working hard for future successes.
Reflecting on his own experiences, Mann shared that he takes pride in being part of such youth festivals, which he believes are instrumental in shaping young people’s personalities. He recalled his college days, stating that these festivals helped him thrive both as an artist and now as a politician.
Mann encouraged the youth to leverage these opportunities for their holistic growth and development. He reminisced about his own participation in youth festivals, where he won trophies, fueled by his passion for winning and a positive mindset.
In response to students’ requests, the Chief Minister, alongside his college friend and artist Karamjit Anmol, captivated the audience by reciting the poem “Maghda Rahin Ve Surja Kammian De Vehre,” written by renowned Punjabi poet Sant Ram Udaasi. He expressed that this revolutionary poem holds special significance for him, as he used to recite it during college competitions, and relished revisiting those memories during his performance, which left the audience spellbound.
