Grandson of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri joins BJP

Vibhakar Shastri had contested the elections from Fatehpur Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh in the year 1998 on Congress ticket, but could get only 24,688 votes. Tried his luck again in the year 1999, in which he was able to get 95,000 votes and in the year 2009, he was able to get one lakh votes.

New Delhi Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, has left the Congress. He joined BJP today itself. This is another blow to the Congress before the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Let us tell you that recently he was said to be angry after not getting a place in the Congress Working Committee (CWC). Vibhakar Shastri has held important positions in the party. He was also an advisor to Priyanka Vadra.
