Chandigarh: The weather will be clear in Haryana on Tuesday and Wednesday (1 and 2 April). Some changes in the weather can be seen from 3 April. On 31 March, Sirsa was the hottest district in the state. The temperature here was recorded at 35.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the state has increased by 2.3 degrees in 24 hours. Now the temperature has become 1.8 degrees more than normal. The temperature is expected to increase further in the coming days. However, it is still cold at night.
According to Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agrometeorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, the weather is likely to remain generally dry in Haryana till April 4.
There is also a possibility of northwesterly and western winds blowing intermittently. Especially the day temperature is likely to increase. Due to the partial effect of a weak western disturbance, there is a possibility of increase in humidity in the atmosphere on 3 and 4 April and there is also a possibility of partial clouds and light to moderate winds blowing intermittently.
Rainfall in March was 41 percent less than normal.
Haryana received 41 percent less rainfall than normal in the month of March. March is the first month of pre-monsoon, and it was almost dry. Now farmers are expecting rain in April and May, but during this time the work is only of wheat harvesting and threshing.
At present, the weather in the state is dry and there may be some change in it on April 3. According to the Meteorological Department, a total of 8.9 mm of rain fell in Haryana during March 2025. This is 41 percent less than the normal rainfall. The normal rainfall of Haryana for the month of March is 15.1 mm.
