Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh met the newly appointed in-charge of the state Congress Rajni Patil in Delhi today. During this, both the leaders congratulated Rajni Patil on becoming the in-charge. Both the Chief Minister and the Minister met the in-charge separately.

Party sources say that both the Chief Minister and the Minister have also discussed with the Congress in-charge about forming a new organization in Himachal soon.

The Chief Minister and Rajni Patil had a long meeting with the organization. Sources say that there has been a long discussion between the two leaders regarding the post of State Congress President, as Pratibha Singh’s three-year term is going to be completed in April 2025. Earlier last evening, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh had also met Priyanka Gandhi and demanded to extend Pratibha Singh’s tenure.

Sources say that now the high command will take the final decision regarding Pratibha Singh. Regarding this, Chief Minister Sukhu will also discuss with other top leaders of the party during his Delhi visit.

How the new organisation will be will largely depend on the newly appointed in-charge of Himachal Congress, Rajni Patil. Although former in-charge Rajiv Shukla had completed this exercise by sending observers to Himachal. But the party has removed him and appointed Rajni Patil as in-charge. Therefore, Patil’s role is going to be important now.
